I vote: Towards That Dawn by Maple Rose

It depends on your situation. I personally wouldn't. But that's me. So to start off, you need to answer some basic questions.

What is important to you? (Is it pay? Is it feeling of accomplishment? Is it moving out into the world? And all that jazz.)

Are your plans in life really dependent upon getting the diploma? Or will a GED Certificate satisfy those plans?

Are you willing to put the time into getting the diploma? Or do you simply want to go straight to the Junior College and forgo the formality of the high school diploma?

Do you have any life plans that may get pushed back because of taking another year to accomplish this? Or can they wait?

If you can answer these questions, I think the answer will be obvious to you. You're also more than welcome to IM/PM me if you want to talk about it more.

f

After having talked it over with TreaGirl, our local administrator, I have added (as suggested by the title of the Announcement) another Moderator to the group.

Any one have any guesses as to which person this could be?

Reasons for Promotion to Moderator:

1.) Passion towards the betterment of the group.

2.) Volunteering ideas and time to the group.

3.) An outstanding example of California spirit. (Yes, I had to put that one.)

4.) We need a graphics person that is a little more "residential" in their presence.

So, did I give it away?

That's right, welcome Dev (dslassey), as our newest moderator.

Everyone, congratulate him.

As usual, if you have any comments on this matter, place them in this thread. Any ideas for the group? Send them to your admins/mods.

*thumbs up*

We all have teachers like that. In my case it's just the opposite, my teachers are constantly harassing me to do better (or rather, give a dang about the material, the class, and the students around me), using the whole argument of how I could have graduated by now if I had only tried earlier on.

In your case, I suppose you just gotta endure it for the time being. There doesn't sound like you can do much about the situation. I suppose the best thing to do is find someone that can help you understand the critical points of the subject matter. Perhaps that will help you do better.

f

That's pretty unique.

Sounds interesting.

f

I vote ASH-Hikari.

f

Participate, there's no harm with open voting and anonymous authorship.

Let everyone vote, that's my take.

f

I like that whole Abstract idea, even if that would end up what I would end up writing anyway.

Perhaps, if we choose to go with something like this multiple category system, it would almost be as good as a completely open-ended one.

f

Well, I don't think we're really doing anyone any favors by keeping the contest to ourselves. So I say, let the whole of MT participate. We might just bring in some new members in the process. And this should give a wider variation in the number and type of entries we receive.

(And you're most welcome.)

f

Well, I prefer open-ended competitions, because what I write about it just whatever comes to mind and have trouble writing poetry to a confined theme. But that's my two bits on the matter.

I believe that a month is a good amount of time for people to have to write and revise their works prior to submission. Perhaps we may see some absolute "killer" poems come out of that time frame. It may also allow the more "dead" people a chance to see that it's going on and perhaps get some life in their step. So to speak.

The rest of the categories held good setup from the previous competitions.

Yeah, this groups has seemingly been dead for a while.

Wow, I just realized that AngelKate and I are in pretty close concurrence.

Come on people, don't let our Admin down!

f

Well, I offer my condolences.

That is all I can say, best of luck, my friend.

f

Anime themed groups generally do fall into that cycle of life and death. All we have to do is create some kind of exciting thing that brings everyone back to our group page.

f

That sounds similar to something I have had, though I was never paralyzed from it. I only had a sudden searing pain wake me up and continue for a few hours and then it stopped.

But the thing that really got me was the fact I heard the sounds of mounted wranglers (the guys who, I suppose you could call cowboys) outside of my tent. But knew there couldn't have been any, on account that the trail that I was on never allowed that sort of thing and there were no signs of anything the next morning.

f

First you need the system disc that you got with your computer. Insert that into the drive and restart the computer.

It should be automatic after that. You will lose all data on that hard drive if you choose to do this!

f

I wonder...though I doubt it is this, but here is my suspicion. Perhaps it is simply caused by a processing confliction and this caused the computer to destroy the data it thought was the source confliction. I doubt this myself, but it is a possibility.

I would recommend ghosting the computer. (Pretty much everything the fluke said.) With the complete reformatting of your hard drive. I pretty certain that if you have a version of XP, that this function will occur automatically though.

f

There could be nothing more patriotic, in my opinion.

f

I have been a long time member here, and I have one suggestion that I would like to put in the "pot." This has been on my mind ever since MT introduced this function, but anyway. I would like to see the group have a special skin. Though, I am going to admit, I have no knowledge on how this is done.

And a suggestion towards group operation, perhaps we should consider a new team of moderators. The admins shouldn't be the ones doing all of the new member adding and the like. (I'll be the first to volunteer for one of those positions. Just let me know what is decided.)

One more thing before you're done reading what I have to say, as to music, perhaps we could use one of those active playlist panels that some groups and users have on their pages.

f

You know my opinions on in. And for those who don't know my in depth views, I'll sum it up and you can read my review later (If you really want to know everything.)

I personally liked the anime, it's just they made some errors in telling it. And these errors really hurt it.

Yes, I will agree (And I don't think I really elluded to that.) to the fact that the characters...are kinda "face" valued and almost lack luster.

Perhaps another production company should have a crack at this one and redo it. But that is entirely my personal opinion.

I seriously felt my eyes trying to move towards the screen on the last episode...way too big...(As in, bulging out of my head, in anime terms.)

f

Kyte: Almost there...It's almost ready...in the meantime, hah!

*begins launching a flurry of attacks*

f

*Fires another shell into a cluster of enemies, heavily damaging all of them*

Kyte: Oh, what I would give for my warp powers to be returned to me. But that ain't gonna be happening any time soon.

*Launches a sword attack that manifests an almost ethereal extension to the sword*
*Attack sends large numbers of Machina flyiny back in pieces*

Kyte: Hmm...It might happen sooner than I was expecting...

*continues to fight*

f

*Wanders around in a semi drunken way*

Kyte: That don't look all tooo frie-ndly.

*Fires a shell into the the Turret Machina*
*Charges with Monomolecular Sword in hand to destroy the remaints of the battered Machina*

Kyte: Hah!
